WHAT IS RECREATIONAL BASKETBALL?
Recreational basketball is a fun, welcoming introduction to the game. Players learn the fundamentals — dribbling, passing, spacing, and defense — in a low-pressure environment built around development and playing time rather than results.
- Open to any player, from any town — no residency requirement.
- Equal playing time. Every registered player plays, regardless of ability.
- No tryouts. Teams are built to keep rosters balanced and fun.
- One practice per week plus Saturday games — easy on family schedules.

MATCH PLAY
Games are played on Saturdays beginning in January. Gyms are assigned by division and confirmed each season — Kindergarten at New Durham School & Milton, 8U at New Durham School, 10U at Gilmanton & Milton, and 12U at Prospect Mountain High School.
COMMUNITIES WE SERVE
Rec Basketball is open to all communities. Families from Alton, Barnstead, New Durham, Gilmanton, Milton, Wolfeboro, Farmington, and surrounding towns play together in the same league — no residency requirement to join.

TEAM PLACEMENT
Players are placed onto teams by division and town. Rosters are balanced for fair, fun play and built shortly after registration closes each season.
SEASONS
Recreational basketball runs in the Winter (December–March). Each season includes weekly practices, Saturday games, and an end-of-season tournament.
